The French Language Diploma (DELF) for children, known as “Prim,” is an official diploma issued by the French Ministry of Education.
There are three diplomas corresponding to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: DELF A1.1, DELF A1, and DELF A2.
The DELF is an official, high-quality diploma, aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
This diploma is recognized worldwide and is valid for life.
The DELF for children is above all a diploma of recognition and motivation. It is also an investment in the future of the youngest learners.
The DELF “Prim” is intended for all children who are beginners in French as a foreign language and who are enrolled in studies corresponding to the elementary level or who are of the required age to pursue such studies according to the regulations in force in their country.
The “Prim” version means that only topics that interest younger learners are included in the exercises. DELF exams assess communication skills. Young learners will be placed in a context that makes it easier for them to respond in the “Prim” version, allowing them to demonstrate all their skills to the assessors.
The DELF diploma in the “Prim” version has the same value as a diploma in the “general public” or “junior/school” versions. The version of the exam is not indicated on the diploma.
The DELF “Prim” consists of three independent diplomas corresponding to the CEFR levels: DELF A1.1, DELF A1, and DELF A2.
