Usage
I use the imperative to give an order or an instruction.
The imperative is constructed without a subject and we only use the verb with “tu”, “nous”, and “vous” forms.
⚠️ The “tu” form loses the final “s” with first group verbs ending in -ER and the verb “aller”.
Examples :
Tu regardes la montagne. Regarde la montagne !
Nous écoutons les oiseaux. Écoutons les oiseaux !
Vous buvez votre chocolat chaud. Buvez votre chocolat chaud !
⚠️ The verbs Être, Avoir, Savoir et Vouloir are irregular :
Être : (Tu) Sois, (Nous) Soyons, (Vous) Soyez
Avoir : (Tu) Aie, (Nous) Ayons, (Vous) Ayez
Savoir : (Tu) Sache, (Nous) Sachons, (Vous) Sachez
Vouloir : (Tu) Veuille, (Nous) Veuillons, (Vous) Veuillez
