1st group verbs

• soigner : Le vétérinaire soigne les animaux. / to look after (treat): The veterinarian treats the animals.

• planter : La fermière plante des salades. / to plant: The farmer plants lettuce.

• récolter : En août, on récolte le maïs. / to harvest: In August, we harvest the corn.

• ramasser : Les enfants ramassent les œufs. / to collect (pick up): The children collect the eggs.

2nd group verbs

• grandir : Les agneaux grandissent avec leur maman. / to grow: The lambs grow with their mother.

• nourrir : La mère nourrit ses petits. / to feed: The mother feeds her young.

• fleurir : Dans les champs, les fleurs fleurissent. / to bloom (flower): In the fields, the flowers bloom.

3rd  group verbs

• boire : Les vaches boivent dans le pré. / to drink: The cows drink in the meadow.

• courir : Les lapins courent vite ! / to run: The rabbits run fast!

• ouvrir : Le fermier ouvre le robinet. / to open (turn on): The farmer turns on the tap.

• tenir : La fermière tient une pelle. / to hold: The farmer holds a shovel.
